Susan Leybourne will be giving a talk about Mediumship in the ancient World was the ability to communicate with Gods, Spirits, Ancestors and the departed. This lecture will take us back to the dawn of civilization. The Oracular priestess in the Ancient World, The mystery cults of Greece and Rome, the shaman Priest of indigenous cultures, the old testament prophetic tradition, Hindu and Buddhist teachings and the roots of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Religion has been steered in its development through the practices we know as Mediumship. In this lecture we will explore some of the common threads from many traditions, which have their roots in Spiritual communication from a higher World. Alongside this we will look at the development of mankind’s changing understanding of the afterlife and what that meant to the development of humanity, coming up to our modern understanding of the Spirit World and our interaction with that World
